âī¸ What is Copyright?
Copyright is a legal right that grants the creator of an original work exclusive rights to its use and distribution. This typically includes:
- Reproduction Rights: The right to copy, duplicate, or reproduce the work
- Distribution Rights: The right to sell, rent, lease, or lend copies to the public
- Derivative Works: The right to create new works based on the original
- Public Display: The right to display the work publicly
- Public Performance: The right to perform the work in public (for music, videos, etc.)
Copyright protection is automatic upon creation of an original work and typically lasts for the life of the author plus 70 years.

đĄ Best Practices for Content Creators
â Create Original Content
The best way to avoid copyright issues is to create your own original music, images, videos, and text. This gives you full control and ownership.
â Use Licensed Content
If using third-party content, ensure you have proper licenses. Use royalty-free music, Creative Commons images, or content from licensed stock libraries.
â Give Proper Attribution
When required by license, always credit the original creator. Include their name, the work title, and a link to the source when possible.
â Keep Documentation
Maintain records of licenses, permissions, and purchase receipts for any content you use. This protects you if questions arise.
