Copyright & Legal

Fair use allows limited use of copyrighted material without permission for purposes like criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, or parody. It is determined on a case-by-case basis considering four factors: purpose, nature of work, amount used, and market effect.

If someone has uploaded your copyrighted content without permission, you can submit a copyright infringement notice via our web form at konnect.li/legal/copyright-notice or by emailing copyright@konnect.li with the required legal information under Indian Copyright Act, 1957.

First Strike: Warning, Copyright School, and 1-week upload freeze.
Second Strike: 2-week upload freeze.
Third Strike: Account termination.
Strikes expire after 90 days.

Analytics & Insights

Go to Konnect Studio → Analytics. You can view data for the last 7, 28, or 90 days, including views, watch time, and subscriber growth.

Watch Time is the total amount of time viewers have spent watching your videos. It is a key metric for content recommendations and monetization eligibility (4,000 hours required).

CTR is the percentage of people who see your video thumbnail and click on it. A higher CTR (typically 4-10%) indicates effective titles and thumbnails.

Privacy & Security

Go to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication. We recommend using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator for the best security.

Navigate to the user's profile, click the three dots menu (•••), and select "Block User". They will no longer be able to view your content or message you.

You can request a copy of your data by going to Settings → Privacy → Download Your Data. You'll receive an email with a download link within 24-48 hours.

Payments & Billing

Go to Settings → Billing → Subscriptions. Select the subscription you want to cancel and click "Cancel Subscription". You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.

Go to Settings → Billing → Transaction History. Find the transaction and click "Request Refund" if eligible. Refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days.

Live Streaming

Click the "Create" button (camera icon) and select "Go Live". You can stream via webcam or using streaming software like OBS. First-time streamers may need to wait 24 hours for activation.

You need at least 50 subscribers, a verified phone number, and no active strikes on your account. Mobile streaming requires 1,000 subscribers.

Mobile App

This is a Premium feature. Tap the "Download" button below the video player. You can view your downloaded videos in the Library tab under "Downloads".

Tap your profile picture → Settings → General → Appearance. Select "Dark theme" or "Use device theme".

Community Guidelines

We strictly prohibit:

  • Violence and hate speech
  • Harassment and bullying
  • Sexually explicit content
  • Child exploitation
  • Illegal activities
  • Spam and scams

Click the three dots menu on any video, comment, or profile and select "Report". Choose the appropriate category and provide details. Our team reviews reports within 24-48 hours.

Yes, if you believe a strike was issued in error, you can appeal within 90 days. Go to Settings → Community Guidelines → View Strikes → Appeal. Our review team will reassess your case within 7-14 days.

Spam includes: repetitive comments, misleading descriptions, fake engagement services, mass uploading of untargeted content, and deceptive links. Repeated violations may result in account termination.

While engaging titles are fine, misleading clickbait that promises content not delivered in the video violates our policies. Ensure your titles and thumbnails accurately represent your content.

Content Creation

You can start with just a smartphone! For better quality, consider: a decent camera (even a webcam works), good lighting (natural light or ring light), and clear audio (external mic recommended). Free editing software like DaVinci Resolve or Konnect Studio Editor can help polish your videos.

It depends on content type. Short-form content (under 60 seconds) works for quick tips. Long-form (8-15 minutes) is ideal for tutorials and vlogs. Focus on value over length—keep viewers engaged throughout.

Best practices: Use high contrast colors, include faces with expressions, add bold text (3-5 words max), maintain consistent branding, and use 1280x720px resolution. Tools: Canva, Photoshop, or Konnect Thumbnail Maker.

Check your Analytics for when your audience is most active. Generally, 2-4 PM on weekdays and 9-11 AM on weekends work well. Consistency matters more than timing—stick to a regular schedule.

Use 5-8 relevant tags. Include a mix of broad and specific keywords. Avoid tag stuffing or irrelevant tags—it can hurt your video's discoverability and violate spam policies.

You can edit the title, description, tags, and thumbnail after publishing. However, you cannot change the video file itself without reuploading. Use the trim feature for minor edits to published videos.

Go to Video Manager → select your video → Subtitles → Add. You can auto-generate them (then edit for accuracy) or upload an SRT file. Captions improve accessibility and SEO.

End screens appear in the last 5-20 seconds of your video, promoting other videos, playlists, or your channel. Add them via Video Manager → End Screen. They increase watch time by encouraging viewers to continue watching.

Reach out via DM or email to creators in your niche. Propose mutually beneficial ideas. You can add collaborators as co-creators in video settings, which shares the video on both channels.

Yes! During upload, set visibility to "Scheduled" and choose your desired date and time. This helps maintain a consistent posting schedule even when you're busy.

Channel Growth & Engagement

Focus on: consistent quality content, optimized titles/thumbnails, engaging with your audience, collaborations, asking viewers to subscribe, creating series/playlists, and promoting on social media. Growth takes time—patience is key!

The algorithm prioritizes: watch time, click-through rate (CTR), engagement (likes, comments, shares), viewer satisfaction, and session time. Create content that keeps viewers watching and coming back.

Share on social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook), engage in relevant communities, collaborate with other creators, optimize for search (SEO), and create shareable content. Avoid sub4sub schemes—they harm your metrics.

Very important! Engagement signals to the algorithm that your content is valuable. Reply to comments, ask questions, create polls, and build a community. Pinning a question in comments can boost engagement.

Both have benefits! Shorts (under 60s) are great for discovery and rapid growth. Long-form builds deeper connections and higher watch time. Many successful creators do both to maximize reach.

Stay professional. Constructive criticism can help you improve. Delete spam/hate speech and block toxic users. Use the "Hold potentially inappropriate comments for review" setting in Studio → Settings → Community.

Audience retention shows how much of your video people watch. Higher retention signals quality content to the algorithm. Aim for 50%+ retention. Hook viewers in the first 10 seconds and maintain pacing throughout.

Available for channels with 1,000+ subscribers. Go to Konnect Studio → Community → Create Post. Share updates, polls, images, or behind-the-scenes content to keep your audience engaged between uploads.

No! This violates our Terms of Service. Fake engagement harms your channel's performance, disqualifies you from monetization, and may result in termination. Focus on organic growth.

You can't force it, but encourage viewers to click the bell icon next to Subscribe. Mention it in your videos and descriptions. Subscribers who interact frequently are more likely to receive notifications.

Technical Issues & Troubleshooting

HD and 4K processing takes time. Your video appears in SD quality first, then HD/4K becomes available (can take hours for long videos). Always upload the highest quality source file.

Common causes: unstable internet connection, file too large (max 256GB or 12 hours), unsupported format, or browser issues. Try: refreshing the page, using Chrome, clearing cache, or using Konnect Studio desktop app.

Possible reasons: creator disabled comments, you're using a brand account without commenting enabled, you have a pending Community Guidelines violation, or temporary IP block. Check your account status and settings.

Analytics can take 24-48 hours to fully update. Real-time stats appear within minutes, but detailed metrics and audience demographics have a delay. Try refreshing or checking back later.

New channels take time to index. Ensure your channel is public, has a description, and content. Use relevant keywords in your "About" section. Avoid duplicate content or guideline violations which can limit visibility.

Audio sync issues usually occur during editing. Use professional editing software and ensure your frame rate is consistent. If the uploaded video has issues, you'll need to fix it in editing software and reupload.

This is normal! The last 5% can take the longest as HD versions are being processed. For 4K videos, this can take several hours. If it's stuck for more than 24 hours, contact support.

Options: 1) Trim out the claimed content using Konnect's editor, 2) Replace the audio, 3) Mute the claimed segment, 4) Dispute if you have rights, or 5) Accept the claim (may affect monetization).

Accounts are suspended for severe or repeated violations of Community Guidelines, copyright strikes, or suspicious activity. Check your email for details and appeal instructions. If unjustified, submit an appeal immediately.

Unfortunately, deleted videos cannot be recovered from Konnect's servers. Always keep backup copies of your original files. Scheduled deletes can be canceled within 24 hours.

Advanced Monetization

CPM (cost per 1,000 views) varies widely: $0.50-$10+ depending on niche, audience location, season, and content type. Finance/tech niches typically earn more. Focus on watch time and engagement, not just views.

CPM is what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions. RPM (Revenue Per Mille) is what YOU earn per 1,000 views after Konnect's cut and ad-blocked views. RPM is typically 40-60% of CPM.

Yes, but revenue may be shared with or claimed by the copyright holder. Konnect's music policies allow covers of popular songs, but the original rights holder typically receives the ad revenue.

Live stream features where viewers pay to highlight their messages. Super Chats ($1-$500) pin messages in chat, while Super Stickers are animated images. You keep 70% of the revenue.

Brands pay you directly (outside Konnect) to promote products. Always disclose sponsorships using the "Paid Promotion" toggle. Negotiate rates based on your views, engagement, and niche. BrandConnect can help you find sponsors.

Your earnings roll over to the next month until you reach $100. There's no expiration, so you'll eventually get paid once you hit the threshold.

Only if you have permission or a license. Use Konnect's Audio Library for free, copyright-safe music. If you use copyrighted music without permission, revenue goes to the rights holder or the video may be blocked.

You need 10,000+ subscribers. Connect your approved merchandise partner (like Teespring, Spreadshop) in Konnect Studio → Monetization → Merchandise. Your products will appear below your videos.

When Premium members watch your content ad-free, you still earn money based on their watch time. This is distributed from their subscription fees proportionally across all creators they watch.

Create advertiser-friendly content, target audiences in high-CPM regions (US, UK, Canada, Australia), make longer videos (8+ minutes for mid-rolls), focus on valuable niches (finance, tech, business), and maintain high engagement.

Advanced Account Management

If your channel is part of a Brand Account, go to Settings → Permissions → Transfer ownership. Select the new owner from your managers list. Personal channels cannot be transferred—create a Brand Account first.

Personal accounts are tied to your Google login. Brand Accounts allow multiple managers, custom names unrelated to your personal name, and easier business management. Most creators use Brand Accounts for flexibility.

Convert to a Brand Account first. Then go to Settings → Permissions → Invite. You can add Owners (full access), Managers (most features), and Editors (upload/edit only). They don't need your password.

Yes! Click your profile icon → "Switch Account" → "Create Channel". You can create multiple Brand Accounts and switch between them easily. Each can have separate content, branding, and monetization settings.

Custom URLs (konnect.li/@yourname) are available with 100+ subscribers, 30+ day old account, and profile photo/banner. Once set, you can change it only 3 times per year. Go to Settings → Basic Info → Custom URL.

Set up an Inactive Account Manager in your Google Account settings. This person can download your data or close your account after a specified inactivity period. They cannot access your account while you're alive.

Go to Konnect Studio → Customization → Basic Info → Links. Add up to 14 social media links that appear in your About section and channel banner. Verified accounts can add them to video descriptions too.

No, Konnect doesn't support channel merging. You can move videos between your own channels manually by downloading and reuploading (but you'll lose views/comments). Consider using playlists to feature content from both.

Restricted Mode is a viewer setting, not creator-controlled. To ensure your family-friendly content isn't restricted, avoid mature themes, profanity, and violence. Age-restricted content is automatically excluded from Restricted Mode.

If you believe your video was incorrectly age-restricted, go to Video Manager → select the video → Request Review. Our team will reassess within 7 days. Age-restricted videos can't be monetized.

SEO & Discovery

Use keyword research tools (Google Trends, TubeBuddy, VidIQ). Include target keywords in: title (naturally), description (first 2-3 lines), tags, and spoken in the video. Create content that answers specific questions.

First 2-3 lines appear in search—make them compelling with keywords. Include: video summary, timestamps, links, credits, and social media. Aim for 200+ words. Use hashtags (3-5 max) and add standard info at the bottom.

Yes, but use them wisely. Add 3-5 relevant hashtags in your description. The first three appear above your title. Avoid over-tagging (15+) as it may be considered spam. Make them specific to your content.

Very! It helps Konnect understand your niche and improves channel discoverability. Include keywords naturally, explain what viewers can expect, posting schedule, and contact info. Keep it under 1,000 characters and update regularly.

No. Each video should have unique, relevant keywords. However, you can have 2-3 broad channel-level tags that appear on all videos (your channel name, niche). Specific tags should vary per video topic.

Playlists improve session watch time (viewers auto-play through them), help organize content, and can rank in search results independently. Use descriptive titles with keywords and add detailed descriptions.

Impressions are how many times your thumbnail was shown to viewers. Improve them by: consistent posting, good viewer satisfaction on previous videos, optimal keywords, and engagement. CTR (click-through rate) matters more than raw impressions.

Suggested videos favor content similar to what viewers are watching, with high engagement. Create content on trending topics in your niche, use similar tags to popular videos, and maintain high audience retention.

Initial engagement helps, but Konnect promotes videos over weeks/months if they perform well. Check Analytics → Audience for when your subscribers are online. Consistency matters more than perfect timing.

Trending features videos with rapid viewership growth from a wide audience. It's not about total views, but velocity and diversity. Create timely, broadly appealing content without clickbait or violations.
